About UAE AikiKai Aikido (Dubai aikikai aikido association)
UAE AikiKai Aikido (Dubai AikiKai Aikido Association) is a registered and licensed non-profit organisation within Dubai and the United Arab Emirates; linking a network of experienced and certified Yudansha (black-belts) and members, dedicated to the practice and official direction of Aikido within the United Arab Emirates. We follow the guidelines and directions as set by the AikiKai Hombu Dojo - Aikido World Headquarters, Tokyo, Japan.
Our organisation is supported and recognised by both the AikiKai Hombu Dojo in Japan (Aikido World Headquarters), and also the Dubai Sports Council. Senior Members regularly travel abroad each year to attend International seminars with Aikikai Shihan in places including but not limited to Japan, Australia, Europe and Far East Asia.
We also host local/international seminars given by notable visiting Shihan & Sensei (master instructors and instructors). Check out our News Feed, Facebook and Instagram pages for more details and Register or Contact Us for more information and classes. We have system connections to a number of different International organisations; the origins of our teaching methodology follow the teachings of S.Sugano Shihan, AikiKai Australia and the AikiKai Hombu Dojo (Aikido World Headquarters) located in Tokyo, Japan. S.Sugano Shihan was responsible for the development of Aikido in Australia under the direct authority of O'Sensei Founder of Aikido from 1965.
Our organisation is a coming together of Aikido-ka (students of Aikido) to create a dynamic, intense and evolving understanding of the Art of AikiKai Aikido. Our principle objective is to spread the Art to the UAE Community. Aikido is more than just a martial system of self defence, and we do not train simply to defeat opponents. We train to understand ourselves, to improve our response to adversity, and to grow through dedicated and austere ‘keiko’ practice.
Beginners and new faces are always welcome. The progress of each individual student is nurtured and celebrated by everyone at our Dojo's. We do not discriminate based upon age, race, handicap, nationality, sex, creed or kind.
